Chelyabinsk
Andrey Kotyshev was born in 1971 in Chelyabinsk. He started to practice martial arts in 1987 under the direction
of coach Vladyslav Novickov in his group. It was on February, 1993, during
coach seminar in Sevastopol, when he for the first time met the traditional
non-sporting direction of martial arts developed by Mr. Haberzetcer. Since
1994 Andrey is an active participant of arrangements of the International
Federation for Traditional Karate-do and Fudo-kan Federation which were
carried-out in Russia and CIS. During the period from 1992 up to 1996
Andrey was the instructor of Chelyabinsk "Way" club but in 1996 he dropped
out of the club membership and of the Chelyabinsk traditional karate-do
Federation. Then he found "Ronin" club and became the official member
of CRB. In May, 1997, during the educational-methodical seminar in Orenburg
he became the owner of Black belt in karate-do after he had passed the
exams for the 1st Dan. In August, 1998, during educational-certification
seminar in Orenburg Andrey was given the rank of 2nd Dan by Mr. Haberzetcer
personally.
